(Katakanlah, "Marilah kubacakan yang diharamkan atas kamu oleh Tuhanmu, yaitu) an bermakna menafsirkan (janganlah kamu mempersekutukan sesuatu dengan Dia dan) berbuat baiklah (terhadap kedua orang tua sebaik-baiknya dan janganlah kamu membunuh anak-anak kamu) dengan menguburkan hidup-hidup (karena) sebab (takut kemiskinan) kemelaratan yang kamu
There are nine things mentioned in the detailed statement (151-152). After that, comes the tenth commandment in the words: هَـٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ. That is, this path of Mine is straight. So, follow it - 153.
Pickthall. Say: Come, I will recite unto you that which your Lord hath made a sacred duty for you: That ye ascribe no thing as partner unto Him and that ye do good to parents, and that ye slay not your children because of penury - We provide for you and for them - and that ye draw not nigh to lewd things whether open or concealed.
Surat Al-'An`am [verses 150-153] - Say, [O Muhammad], "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allah has prohibited this." And if they testify, do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who deny Our verses and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they equate [others] with their Lord.
